Estimating Hydraulic Conductivity of Overconsolidated Soils Based on Piezocone Penetration Test (PCPT)

چکیده
Overconsolidated (OC) soils may develop a low or negative pore pressure during PCPT. Thus, it is challenging to an “on-the-fly” estimation of hydraulic conductivity from PCPT results. This study presents method estimate the OC results based on previously developed for normally consolidated (NC) soils. To apply existing method, in adjusted by using correction factor. An equation factor derived concepts critical state soil mechanics, cavity expansion, and consolidation theories. Then, was reformulated so that traditional cone indices could be used as input parameters. It shown mainly influenced tip resistance, pressure, rigidity index. The comparison predicted, which corrected measured showed good match four well documented data sets. With findings study, expected overconsolidated possible.

Consequences of Electromagnetic Stimulation on Hydraulic Conductivity of Soils
Hydraulic conductivity is a measure of the rate at which water flows through porous media. Because of the dipole properties of water molecules, any electric field can affect hydraulic conductivity. In this study, the effect of radio-frequency (RF) waves on hydraulic conductivity is investigated. This is important both for the geophysical measurement of hydraulic conductivity as well as remediat...
